# Shopify removes the automaticDiscounts query in API version 2027-01

## What changed

As of Admin API version 2027-01, the deprecated automaticDiscounts query no longer exists on QueryRoot, and requests that include it return a validation error. DiscountAutomaticConnection and DiscountAutomaticEdge are removed too.

## What to do

Query discountNodes with query: "method:automatic" and read each discount from the discount field. Don't move to automaticDiscountNodes, which is also deprecated.
