## What changed

The Custom Search JSON API is closed to new customers, and existing customers have until 2027-01-01 to move off it; Google calls that date the service discontinuation. After that, calls to /customsearch/v1 stop working.

## What to do

Replace calls to www.googleapis.com/customsearch/v1 before 2027-01-01: Google points to Vertex AI Search for searching up to 50 domains, and to its interest form for full-web search. Expect a different request format, response shape and pricing.
